On the face of it, it is the opposite example of the previous post. Yes sometimes, I bow, I stop being a spoilsport and bad tempered, especially when it’s not completely in the world of music. Last Friday I had the opportunity to meet Kenny Ortega. The film director of "This Is It" was in visit to Paris to promote his DVD of Michael Jackson's last rehearsals, released this week. So I made a small step into the world of cinema and its over-controlled communication. In other words, it is apparently not in the culture of the filmmaker’s surrounding to leave his protégé with a reporter. Too dangerous, apparently. So at the time of the interview, there was an American woman, a French one, and even a translator who was instructed to ask the questions but not really to translate the responses. Go figure. Well…I quickly understood.

Michael Jackson's long-serving tour guitarist Jennifer Batten has slammed Gene Simmons' recent allegations against the King of Pop.
Last week I sat down for an hour-long interview with Batten, who accompanied Jackson on all three of his world tours. During her decade of service she was also seen in the Dirty Diana music video, Jackson's feature film Moonwalker and the star's record breaking Superbowl performance, which was watched by more than a billion people.

I’m writing about two things in this piece: one being an account from one of the lovely ‘This Is It‘ dancers about Michael’s condition during rehearsals; and another being a well-deserved slap upside the head to the lame$tream and online media by Charles Thomson.
Dancers Who Tell the Truth
Kriyss Grant, who like most of the young dancers chosen to work with Michael on TII, was very excited to be near his mentor and hero and looked forward to a successful dancing career with this TII performance on his resume. But, because I’ve heard from others who were there during these rehearsals, there are a couple of comments that Kriyss made that immediately caught my eye. They caught my eye because they corroborate with accounts others had of Michael’s apparent physical and mental condition during those rehearsals.

Local entertainer Kriyss Grant, the first dancer chosen by Michael Jackson for his “This Is It” tour, discusses what it was like working with the “King of Pop.”
On the influence Jackson had on him: “I was really brought up with Michael Jackson. My grandmother bought me ‘Moonwalker,’ [the 1988 film that showed, among other things, Jackson in concert] which is something I watched every day. ... I wanted to be just like that. ... I would always try to perform. If there was a party, a family reunion, anything, I would dance and perform for everyone.”
