Two Phones on a Shared Account

The very first time I purchased a phone, I didn’t know much about carriers and the options that were out there. I really should’ve done a better job of researching my options, but I was just a kid. Now that I’m an adult, I’ve decided that I would like to change carriers. My girlfriend is on a different carrier than me, and we discovered that being on the same carrier and the same account will save us a bit of money. The problem is, I don’t want to buy a new phone. I really love my iPhone, and it works perfectly. I’ve always taken really great care of my electronic devices.

I called up my girlfriend’s carrier, and asked them about making the change. I told them that we wanted to be on the same account, and that I didn’t want to buy a new phone. The customer service representative put me on hold for a while. When she came back, she apologized and said that that it would not be possible. She said that my device could not be activated on the new network. I asked her if she could help me figure out how to make it work, and she said that she’s not allowed to do that. She told me that I could probably find some information online if I really wanted to. That’s exactly what I did.

The very first website I found not only provided me with background information on everything I could ever want to know about unlocking phones, but it walked me through the process of what I needed to do. I learned a lot about my phone and my phone carrier, and I was finally able to make the change. Now, my girlfriend and I are on the same account, and we’re saving a bit of money. It was totally worth it.
